Birthday Parties

Birthday parties at Theo are ARTastic!

What kind of project would your child like to do for their birthday? We have many options!

Choose from the projects below:

► Painting Projects

$110 members, $120 nonmembers

Choose from:

Canvas: All supplies included in the cost (the birthday host chooses the painting they would like to create).
Tie-Dye: You provide your choice: t-shirts, pillowcases, or canvas bags.
Record Bowls: All supplies included in the cost.

► Pottery Projects

$150 members, $160 nonmembers

Choose from:

Clay Coil Pinch Pot: All supplies included in the cost. Pots are painted and air dried, can be taken home after the event.
Ceramic/Glazed: All supplies included in the cost. Glazed items are painted and left at Theo's studios to be fired; you pick up at a later date.

► Accessories Projects

$110 members, $120 nonmembers

Jewelry Making: All supplies included in the cost.
Shrinky Dinks: All supplies included in the cost.

► Face Painting

Face Painting can be either:

1. An optional add-on to a birthday package above, includes 2 face-painting artsts - $25

2. As face-painting only, with no party package:

$50.00 for 1 hour - face painting + small party, 1 hr limit
$100.00 for 2 hours - face painting + small party, 2 hr limit

These are not full birthday packages with another art project. Staff will be present only during the face painting and to assist with trash removal.

Location: Birthday parties can be held at Theo's studios, or we will provide the party offsite. No charge if it's within Bismarck/Mandan city limits. Outside city limits is $15 for travel expense.

Planning for Two? If you are planning to host a birthday party for more than one child, an additional $25.00 fee will be added to your invoice.

Party Guidelines:

Age: The birthday honoree can be any age, young or young at heart!
Duration: The event spans two hours: the first 1.5 hours are dedicated to the art project, followed by 30–40 minutes for the birthday celebration. Our staff will handle all instruction and cleanup—no need for parental assistance during the art portion.
Maximum Guests: 12, additional guests cost $10 ea. Due to limited seating and for everyone’s safety, please note that only the birthday hosts and the invited children participating in the art project are allowed in the studio during the party. We warmly invite the parent of the birthday child to join the art activity—this is included in the package. However, while we understand other parents may wish to stay, our policy asks that parents of guests or additional tag-alongs do not remain for the duration of the event. We encourage all parents to drop off and pick up their children at the scheduled times.
Adults: Up to 2 adults are free with a child's party.
Party Extras & Kitchen: The party room will be ready for your own decorations, and our full kitchen is available for your use. We provide tables and chairs for children, along with a designated table for food and gifts. Please provide your own decorations, food, drinks, and paper supplies. For a little extra fun, we suggest parents consider bringing some indoor games to keep children entertained safely.
Reservation Notice: Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the party; earlier notice is recommended for best availability.
$50 Deposit: We require a $50 non-refundable deposit at the time of reservation. Party is reserved only after receiving the non-refundable deposit.
Safety First: To keep everyone safe, please remind children not to run inside the studios or building, as our new concrete floors can be slippery. We also ask that children avoid touching artwork, supplies, or equipment. Although we are a kid-friendly venue, it’s essential to prevent injuries and protect the art. If weather permits, children are welcome to play outside. Thank you for helping us keep the studio a safe and creative space for everyone!
